LAST MONTH in Look magazine, we started our monthly self-portrait competition. We are looking for the best pictures and description of “the real you”. These are our two winners for September.

Translation:
El PASAT MES a la revista Look, vam començar la nostre competició mensual d'autoretrats. Nosaltres estem buscant les millors fotografies i descripcions de “el veritable tu”. Aquests són els nostres dos guanyadors de Setembre.

Claire (aged 15)
I sometimes think that there are different sides to my personality, so my portrait has got two parts. One part shows the quiet, polite person, who listens to her parents, teachers and friends. The other part shows a person who wants to be a bot crazy and extroverted. People don’t really know that side of me, but it’s definitely there.
The colours behind me are yellow and blue. I like yellow because it’s positive and cheerful. I used blue because I think it’s a calm colour; I don’t like felling worried or stressed.

De vegades penso que hi ha diferents costats de la meva personalitat, així que el meu retrat té dues parts. Una part demostra una persona callada, educada, que escolta els seus pares, mestres i amics. L'altre part del retrat mostra una persona que vol mostrar boja i extrovertida. La gent no coneix aquest costat de mi.
Els colors de darrera meu són grocs i blaus. M'agrada el groc perquè és positiu i alegre. Jo utilitzo el blau perquè crec que és un color tranquil; no m'agrada sentir avorriment o estres.

Teri (aged 14)
This pictures is the real me, because it shows differents images from my life. It shows different images from things which interest me and admire. Most of the people are family or friends.
There’s a photo of me in the centre. You can see I’m quite extroverted. In the photo I’m listening to music. Music is very important in my life and I listen to different types of music when I’m relaxed, when I’m feeling energetic, and when I’m feeling happy or sad. The colours in my portrait are red and black because I think that they’re exciting and strong.

Aquesta foto és el veritable jo, perquè mostra diferents imatges de la vida. Mostro diferents imatges de la gent que m'agrada i admiro. La majoria de les persones són familiars o amics.
Hi ha una foto meva al centre. Tu pots veure que sóc bastant extrovertida. En la foto jo estic escoltant música. La música és molt important en la meva vida i escolto diferents tipus de música quan estic relaxada, quan em sento amb energia o quan estic feliç o trista. Els colors del meu retrat són el vermell i el negre perquè crec que són excitants i forts.
